It's Time for Canada to Step Up

Canada is on its way to being in line with other OECD countries

Since the OECD's embarrassing expose, the provinces have upped their contribution from 0.25 percent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to 0.6 percent. Canada is now on its way to spending the 1 percent of GDP that would bring it in line with early education investments made by other OECD countries.

Overall Canada lags behind the majority of its OECD counterparts

While access to ECE has increased, overall Canada lags behind the majority of its OECD counterparts, which have made ECE a universal program for most 4 year olds.
